Snow on Main Street, fun decorations, your favorite characters in their holiday finest, treats, shows, fireworks, and an awesome parade? It must be time for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!
This is my family’s favorite party of the year – the happy tears start the second I see the snow flying on Main Street USA, and the smiles don’t stop until the end of the night, when I am filled with cookies, hot chocolate, and lots of happy memories. What makes this event so special? So many things!
The party begins at 7 pm and planning out your evening is key so you can get it all in! Here are some highlights:
Frozen Holiday Surprise is a new “Frozen” inspired show that will illuminate the castle, where you will be able to see Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff, and the Snowgies in front of Cinderella Castle dressed in their holiday outfits.
At Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration, Mickey and Minnie host their very own holiday party with classic carols and new favorites. This celebration includes medleys of holiday tunes, both classic and contemporary featuring a whole lot of Disney Characters.
There are two scheduled Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parades, which begin in the Frontierland area and ends next to Harmony Barbershop, and there are great viewing areas all along the route. The parade features gingerbread men, marching toy soldiers and beloved Disney Characters, plus a special appearance by Santa Claus riding by wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.
Your host, Minnie Mouse, invites you to Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks which features medleys of beloved holiday songs, including “Deck the Halls” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” as fireworks light up the night sky and the castle is lit with amazing holiday displays. And be sure to be on the lookout for Tinkerbell as she starts the show!
If music and dancing is your thing, you need to check out The Disney Junior Jingle Jam at Cosmic Rays and the Club Tinsel Dance Party, and boy band The Collective 5ive belt out the holiday hits at Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland.
Don’t forget to meet some characters, eat the free cookies, drink the hot chocolate and eggnog, and ride some rides in between all the fun. It really is a great family event, and one that we look forward to each year!
