Sure, chocolate has its share of holidays – Halloween, Valentine’s Day, even Easter. But to me, nothing says chocolate like Christmas time. And what better place to celebrate all things chocolate than Hershey, Pennsylvania! This town really goes all out for the holidays. From Hersheypark Christmas Candylane, and Hershey Sweet Lights, to a seasonal Holiday Spirit’s Rooftop Bar and specialty winter treatments at the spa, this town was made for Christmas!
Looking to spend a weekend in the sweetest town on earth? Here is a recommended itinerary!
Friday:
Check in to the one-of-a-kind historic Hotel Hershey or the family-friendly Hershey Lodge. On your way to the hotel, be sure to drive down Chocolate Avenue to admire the more than 100 Hershey’s Kisses streetlamps! Once the sun goes down, head over to Hershey Sweet Lights, with nearly 600 illuminated, animated displays created from about 2 million LED lights it is really something to behold!
Saturday:
After a leisurely breakfast at The Chocolatier, head to Hersheypark for a day of fun. Start with a visit to Hershey’s Chocolate World to see how chocolate is made, and then try some free samples. If you are interested in the history of the company, stop in at the Hershey Story Museum as well. Then head into the park for some rides. Once the sun goes down, the holiday lights come on and it turns into a magical fantasyland, with yummy chocolate treats!
Sunday:
Today is all about relaxation – oh, and chocolate! Spend the day at the The Spa at the Hotel Hershey or the MeltSpa by Hershey for a full body immersion into the yumminess. My favorite – anything from the Peppermint Hot Chocolate collection of massages, scrubs, facials, wraps, manicures, and pedicures. But a classic chocolate package is also heavenly.
Fun, relaxation, lights, and whole lot of chocolate – sounds like a perfect weekend to me!
