Oxford, England

Although there’s more to the town of Oxford than Oxford University, the university is very much the city’s defining feature. Regularly ranked among the world’s most prominent centers of higher learning, the university can trace its history back to the 11th century. Today, visitors travel to Oxford to explore those same colleges, housed for the most part in their original buildings, like the magnificent Bodleian Library. The schools architecture makes it one of England’s most beautiful cities, as well as a gorgeous backdrop for such movies as Harry Potter and X:Men: First Class. After you are done biking around town, be sure to stop in one of their famous pubs for a bite to eat and drink.
